Collagen

Joint health depends on the health of the collagen in your ligaments, tendons, and on the ends of your bones. Bone broth contains glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), a major component of joint cartilage, glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is key to rebuilding joints because it encourages new growth of cells and tissue, while also reducing inflammation.

Amino Acids

Bone broth is packed with glutathione, an antioxidant that powers the liver’s ability to break down toxins. Your dog’s liver filters toxins out of the body. Dogs today are exposed to chemicals all around them - from pesticides sprayed on grass, to dirty city sidewalks, and cleaning chemicals at home. The liver’s capacity to detox is limited by the availability of glycine (an amino acid) which helps regulate the making of bile salts and secretion of gastric juices required for liver detox.
